At times life can be difficult and I would like to offer you the opportunity to engage in a dialogue, that is different from talking with a loved one or friend, as a way of enabling you to work towards living in a more satisfying and resourceful way.

By offering a confidential place you can talk about yourself and your life, which may, at times, be confusing and you may feel uncomfortable, angry or unhappy. A place, where you are free to work through any issues or difficulties. By thinking  and talking openly about yourself and your concerns you can take the first steps to making changes in your life.

I do this by listening to the way you feel and how this affects you, accepting the way you are without judging and working with you to enable you to make the changes that you want to happen. I understand that it is not always easy to talk about problems and to express your feelings so I aim to bring warmth and empathy to enable you to talk about those things that bother you.

I see the quality of the engagement, between the client and counsellor, as the main therapeutic agent so I offer the first half hour of the first session free, for us to see how we can best work together.

It is usually best to have weekly sessions, at least to start with, but the frequency of sessions can be negotiated to suit your needs.

Aided by a flexible diary, which allows for appointment times from early morning through to the evening, at the end of each one-hour session we can find a mutually acceptable time to meet again.

All sessions can now be conducted on-line via Skype or FaceTime if more convenient, especially at this with such uncertainty with the spread of Coronavirus.
